Texture and Finish
Acadia - Smooth, slightly glossy finish
With a subtle glazed-like, smooth grain, our Acadia bonded leather has a great feel with a slightly glossy finish.
Key West - Slightly textured, matte finish
With a unique crosshatch pattern, our Key West simulated leather is a departure from traditional leathers. Its mild texture and matte finish make it different and appealing.
Personalization
Personalizing your journal can help you to create a theme and enhance the memories you’ll be preserving in it. Gallery Leather offers several different color and text options that fit any style. By including the recipient’s initials or adding a message to a journal, you create a meaningful gift that will be cherished for years to come.
Caring for Your Leather
Leather is a beautiful, durable material when cared for properly. Our bonded leather is best cared for through normal handling. Your hands provide the natural oils that nourish most leather. Our bonded leather is tanned specifically with special oils that replace the need to apply any creams or waxes. For normal dirt and spills, use a soft washcloth dampened with lukewarm water and some sort of mild detergent. Once clean, dry your leather with a clean towel. Do not use alcohol, cleaning solvents, oils, varnishes, or polishes. Avoid extreme temperatures.

For the past 40 years, Gallery Leather has been part of that rich tradition, handcrafting leather products of exceptional quality. Over the years, we have made leather goods for many of North America's luxury brands, all assembled by hand in Maine and guaranteed to last for generations.

A high quality journal 1 people found this helpfulWriting in this leather-bound journal is a pleasure. Have written on about 11 pages front and back in it so far.The off-white, lined paper is of very good quality, and is easy on the eyes. The leather cover is thick and sturdy.I have been using a uni-ball signo 207 ultra micro gel ink pen when writing in it, and there has been no bleed through with it. Just very briefly did I use a fountain pen, and there was bleed through then, so I did stop writing with that particular type of pen.The spacing of the lines on each page is somewhere between college-ruled width and regular-ruled width. There are approximately 190 pages to write on, if you are writing on both the front and the back of each page.It appears to be bound well. It states within that it is bound in the U.S.A., and printed in Korea. There is a ribbon marker sewn into the binding. The ribbon marker extends a little over three inches from the base of the journal when closed.A personal data page is provided in the very back for your name and contact information.Am so pleased with this journal that I have already bought a second in the color Kiwi, just to shake thing up. :-)The cost of the journal is a bit much, but I am not going to deduct a star for that. The page dimensions are 7 3/8 inches by 9 1/2 inches. The overall dimensions are 7 1/2 inches by 9 3/4 inches by 1/2 inch.If you are searching for a journal that appears will last, I recommend that you look no further. Thanks for reading, and happy journaling!

Favorite journal 1 people found this helpfulThis is my second journal from this company. I have several journals, but this is the one I enjoy using the most. It is easy to write in front or back, the pages are thick and I don't have bleed through. I haven't had trouble with the binding not remaining secure. It feels good to write in this journal.
