With a subtle glazed-like, smooth grain, our Acadia bonded leather has a great feel with a slightly glossy finish.
Key West - Slightly textured, matte finish
With a unique crosshatch pattern, our Key West simulated leather is a departure from traditional leathers. Its mild texture and matte finish make it different and appealing.
Personalization
Personalizing your journal can help you to create a theme and enhance the memories you’ll be preserving in it. Gallery Leather offers several different color and text options that fit any style. By including the recipient’s initials or adding a message to a journal, you create a meaningful gift that will be cherished for years to come.
Caring for Your Leather
Leather is a beautiful, durable material when cared for properly. Our bonded leather is best cared for through normal handling. Your hands provide the natural oils that nourish most leather. Our bonded leather is tanned specifically with special oils that replace the need to apply any creams or waxes. For normal dirt and spills, use a soft washcloth dampened with lukewarm water and some sort of mild detergent. Once clean, dry your leather with a clean towel. Do not use alcohol, cleaning solvents, oils, varnishes, or polishes. Avoid extreme temperatures.

For the past 40 years, Gallery Leather has been part of that rich tradition, handcrafting leather products of exceptional quality. Over the years, we have made leather goods for many of North America's luxury brands, all assembled by hand in Maine and guaranteed to last for generations.

*Great* journal for the price. I've bought 3. 1 people found this helpfulThis is one of those products which I knew what I was getting, and was thrilled I could find it on Amazon. May I say, just buy it?This is for the Acadia Green. The color I received was darker than it appears on my computer screen. It is just fine, though, with me. You can still tell it is green. But if it were the Navy, I could see where people would have said it may as well have been black.I bought one of these (but black) from a brick & mortar Barnes & Noble in 2011 for my notes for a board I'm on.The cover is very nice. The gilding on the page edges when it is new is perfect, much like a bible with gilded pages. I use a lamy fountain pen with mine. The Artic Blue ink in a very fine point doesn't feather or bleed through. So many notebooks' papers bleed and feather. The pages are large. The paper color is an easy-on-your-eyes ivory. The binding is first class. If you break this in properly, it should last you your entire life. The paper is acid free; there's no reason this shouldn't be available to look at in 500 years as long as it doesn't get wet. Do choose a nice pen & ink.I love it. Just buy it? Pick your color and buy it.

Perfect Journal 0 people found this helpfulHonestly, kind of the journal of my dreams! Soft, flexible, book but with enough structure. Lovely yet simple design. Lines, gold edges, and ribbon are really nice features. Great price point. Will buy another.

The gilded pages look really cool and the leather is broken in so as to be flexible, but strong. has to be left to air out though because it smells sort of like a cleaning chemical when you first open it up.

My Favorite Journal 1 people found this helpfulThis is my second Gallery Leather journal. The paper is of good quality and is thick enough that none of the inks I've used bleed through to the other side. The journal is hand-bound making it very sturdy. I toss it in my purse, and in tote-bags; I glue, and even mod-podge, all sorts of paraphernalia onto the pages, adding to its thickness, and it has worn extremely well.
